Aidan + Kenzie || Married! || Payson, UT LDS Wedding

I’m not a huge ice cream fan, unless it’s really good ice cream. Like homemade with real cream, or mixed with peanut butter swirls. So when I met with Aidan and Kenzie at the Rockwell Ice Cream Co., and saw they have a cinnamon roll sundae, I was all in. Worth every single penny and calorie. Every bit. I’m still licking my fingers. That first meeting with them was incredible. I fell in love with them as a couple instantly. It was so neat to see this beautiful, smart, personable, and classy woman my cousin fell in love with.
Aidan is my first-cousin-once-removed! I lived with his family for a summer in Hummelstown, PA (right outside Hershey, PA…which really smells like chocolate!!). This family is so near and dear to my heart, there is no way I wasn’t going to be there. And then they asked if I’d do pictures and it was all a dream come true!
Aiden and Kenzie have this whole wedding thing down. Seriously. The details were gorgeous, they were so happy and natural, the reception was fun with everything timed just right (without a formal dj or timeline to boot!), and it was such a gorgeous day. And the food. Oh the food. Missy, Aidan’s mom, ran a professional bake shop for a few years, and is phenomenal. They sent us home with leftover brownies after the luncheon and I couldn’t stay out of them! Best brownies ever. EVER! Oh, I could use a brownie. Missy? ūüėČ

But while I dream of brownies and eat my salad, I’ll let you dive into their day, because it truly was beautiful and so incredibly full of joy and fun!

The day started early with Kenzies hair and makeup appointment. Mindy and Christy are phenomenal. They worked at the same time and did such flawless work! They were so excited for Kenzie and kept asking about details and plans. It felt like a total BFF party!

Kenzie’s Dad and Grandma were there and watching them both was so sweet. Kenzie is the first to get married out of her siblings and you could tell is was joyful but poignant for her dad. He always had such a sweet look while watching her through the day.

Oh this dress. It was perfection. Kenzie’s grandma brought it out to her while she was trying on dresses and she didn’t like it at all, but her grandma insisted she try it on. As soon as it was on it was magic. This was THE DRESS! It was so gorgeous and so perfect!

As soon as the hair and makeup were done, we all booked it down to Payson to the LDS Temple for the First Look and the Sealing (Marriage Ceremony). I was so excited to get to shoot here. This temple is gorgeous!!

They were both beyond excited but you could tell the nerves were there too. As soon as Kenzie touched Aidan’s shoulder and he saw her though, everything melted and they were comfortable, joyful, calm, and just so darn beautiful!

This is them. No directing, instructions, or posing from me. This was just them being them. They couldn’t be any cuter.

And after their First Look time, it was off to get married!

There is no photography allowed within an LDS Temple, so I saw them next when they were officially and eternally husband and wife!

As both Aidan and Kenzie’s best friends are currently serving LDS missions, they decided to bring their bridal party close to heart and pulled in their siblings. It was so fun to see them all in together and celebrating. I loved it!

The reception was held later that night at The Barn at Linden Nursery. They have such a gorgeous set up there. You can bring your own decor, or use their extensive decor collection. Everything had such a soft romantic touch and looked so sweet!

This sign in table is my favorite I’ve ever seen so far! As each guest came in the door they got their picture taken and were handed the mini polaroid to glue in the book and write their note. It was so cute, so personal, and so fun! I’m trying to think of any excuse I can to buy me one of those now.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the reception. Great food, good temperatures, fun music, awesome people. But…not all the guests were as enthusiastic as I was. Well, not this one at least, bahaha:

Oh this kid! He had no idea why everyone was laughing and telling him to look at me. No clue whatsoever.

Both Aidan and his sister are on the BYU Ballroom Dance Team…so naturally the end of the Mother/Son dance turned into a dance off between Aidan and Missy (his Mom), and Camry and Rhett (his sister and Dad). It was fabulous!

Really, you couldn’t have asked for a better day. They had such a beautiful wedding day full of fun memories, people, food, and dancing. It was awesome. And they let me drag them out near the end for one final portrait shot. And it may be one of my favorites ever!
