Jacob + Tyler || Married! || Gila Valley Wedding Photographer

Tyler and I had spoken by phone a few times and sent emails back and forth, but the first time I met her was her wedding day. I’d stalked looked her up on Facebook and knew she was gorgeous, but I wasn’t prepared for just how stunning she is in person. I walked into the getting ready room with all my gear and wanted to do my awkward happy dance. The room was filled with happy and fun girls, gorgeous dresses, and one amazingly beautiful bride! Tyler is elegant and sweet! The rest of the day was spent in a whirl of tulle skirts, girls in tutus, stoic groomsmen, gorgeous decorations, and some of my favorite bouquets yet!

The designated bridal room at the church was full of energy, giggles, work, and fluffy dresses. I loved getting to see the girls all work and visit together.

I loved having the change to work with Stasha Barlow on her first official wedding. She did all the decor as well as the gorgeous flowers. Tyler’s bouquet is one of my favorites with the gorgeous oranges, the soft sage greens, and the super fun billy balls!

Tyler’s dress was flawless. It was definitely The Dress for her. I could hardly take my eyes off of it!

The ceremony was sweet, spiritual, and heartfelt. I loved how calm and natural it felt in the room as everyone watched and smiled on.

Oh that first look down the aisle!

Jacob had the sweetest vows written up for Keyli. This girl adores him, and I’m sure will hold him to the promises of stories and kisses.

Southern Arizona in October is beautiful. The light is golden and muted, the temperatures are perfect, and the plants are still vibrant and alive. They couldn’t have picked a more gorgeous and calm day for this celebration!

I have a bit of skirt envy! The bridesmaids skirts were so classy, cute, and fun! I hope this mix-matched trend sticks around for a few years, because I LOVE it! It adds such beautiful variety and personality to the wedding, and makes the photos more fun.

Watching these girls all together was so much fun. Serious #squadgoals going on! They laughed, did hair, helped the flower girls get ready, steadied Tyler, added energy to the dance floor, and were beautiful to boot. I loved being around them!

Jacob’s Groomsmen were all great! Such a fun combination of personalities through the whole group. They laughed, joked, helped, danced, and visited. It’s always fun to see people come together to buoy up their friends!

Following their ceremony at the First Southern Baptist Church in Thatcher, AZ, everyone drove out to Eden for the reception. This venue has quite the history! The current building was built in 1924 and has hosted weddings, dances, concerts, proms, reunions, centennials, and so much more. Stasha did an incredible job getting Merryland ready for the wedding. So many fun, rustic, and beautiful details went into the day!

All week I got to see snippets of the cake prep being posted on Cakes with TLC’s Facebook Page, and it got me more and more excited to see and photograph the cake. Torey is a culinary artist!! The cactus, succulents, and flower are all made of sugar/fondant! Not only did this look amazing, but it tasted heavenly! And I only got to taste one layer (I heard that each tier was a different flavor). Mmmm!

Once the party got started, dinner was served. And it blew me away! Super moist and yummy chicken, tangy barbecue sauce, perfect potatoes, and quite possibly the best beans I’ve ever had. No joke! I had to seriously refrain from grabbing the pot of beans and running off to horde it all for myself.

Jacob and Tyler’s first dance was sweet and slow…they melted into each other so beautifully. I loved watching their quiet love and their joy all night as they danced together, with Keyli, and with their friends and family. The party was fun, the toasts were sweet and funny (the perfect combo), the food was to die for, and the music was just right. I loved every minute of it!

Thank you Ashley!! That altar teepee was the perfect hanging spot for the dress! No where else in the church was tall enough hardly, and it was fun to incorporate multiple details in one shot!
