When it comes to adding a pop to your wedding lately, metallics have been the way to go. From bright shiny gold, to deep bronzes, and rich coppers, metallics can really give a glamorous look to a wedding day. These touches are bright and gorgeous in the sunlight, and romantic and sparkly in the evening! If you’re looking for a few ideas on how to incorporate metallics into your wedding day, I’ve got some great ideas for you today.
Gold Wedding Ideas
The first set of pictures and ideas comes from Ashlee Baird with Flowers by Ashlee. This sweet and simple gold set up was for a styled shoot in Las Vegas.
Ashlee says, “This was the first styled shoot I ever did so it was really cool to see everything come together! A friend of mine was coming down to Las Vegas, where I lived at the time, to attend WPPI with a group of photographers and they wanted to put together their own shoot so she asked me to put together some flowers. She told me the colors-which included gold metallics – and I went hunting for containers, gold spray paint, and flowers and met them at the park the day of the shoot!”

Not only can gold be used as the vases as decor, but it’s a fun touch to bring into your bouquet and details! Marissa had this beautiful paper flower bouquet by Eco Flower, and the super fun glitter gold heels by Mod Cloth for her summer wedding. They added such a gorgeous pop to her day! See more of her wedding here.
Reese and Lachele had a beautiful and romantic fairy tale themed backyard wedding reception that was full of gorgeous gold and pink details. From the old ornate frames, to gold painted bottles, and even their cake…the evening sparkled!
If you caught Tuesday’s post, you saw some gorgeous gold details in Randi and Porter’s wedding! LaShelle put together some GORGEOUS florals for her daughters wedding. I loved the hand painted bottles and the gold foliage paired with the soft pinks and creams of the flowers!
Antique Gold Wedding Ideas
Love the gold but don’t want quite as warm of a shine? Antique gold can lend such a beautiful, elegant, and old world feel to a wedding! By adding a simple details of the gold lace Anthropologie plate, or a beautiful metal lantern, you can add some gorgeous metallic touches to your decor.
When it comes to cakes, edible glitter is one gorgeous way to go, but an alternative would be hand painted edible gold paint or gold leafing. This gorgeous cake was created by Torey of Cakes with TLC!
Copper & Rose Gold Wedding Ideas
I love the copper and rose gold craze that is going through the wedding world right now! Copper used to be a hard color to find, but with a can of spray paint you can transform just about anything from thrift store mugs, to vases, to flower hangers!
This copper tray used in Randi’s detail shots was found at The Antique Mall in Silver City, NM. That store NEVER disappoints and I never leave empty handed. I went in looking for a copper tray and found this gorgeous little piece tucked away on a shelf. Don’t forget to check out your local thrift and antique stores when looking for great metallic details!
