Will met Cami on a dare. Only it was him daring his friend to pick anyone in the room to try and get a date with. Let’s just say that things didn’t work out for the friend and Cami and Will hit it off! These two Army sweethearts missed their first Anniversary together while Cami was on duty, and nearly ended up with overlapping assignments that would have kept them apart for 3 years. I’ve only done 2 weeks without Cameron, and a semester living in different cities for work, and visiting on the weekends. I can’t imagine three years! But the stars aligned and these two ended up with leave at the same time. I felt so honored to be able to take Anniversary photos for them last week!As I was showing these to Cameron he couldn’t believe this was the Gila River, let alone Thatcher. I drove around and walked along the river to find just the right spot for this special couple, and I LOVE how these turned out. This was the perfect little spot! Cami and Will were a hoot to be around, the weather was gorgeous, and the water wasn’t even that cold! I love getting to spend evenings with inspiring couples like Will and Cami!
Will was full of it the whole time, which made it so much fun. From nearly “dropping” her in the river, to picking her up and taking off with her over his shoulder, to general goofing off, he kept the party going, and I loved it!
Will and Cami, thank you so much for coming out with me to the river and trusting me with these memories! I loved getting to know you, hearing about your trips around AZ, and wading the river with you two! Thank you so much for such a beautiful evening!
