Tad and Jennifer’s Gila Valley country engagement session is definitely one of my favorites to date! We had plans all set up to drive out to Tad’s family ranch for engagement photos, but as the day went on, a huge thunderhead developed west of town, out towards the direction of the ranch. The monsoon’s have hit full force in the Gila Valley lately!
After visiting with Jennifer, we decided to take photos in town and not risk the roads out to the ranch. They got permission from the private venue where their wedding will be held to take their engagement photos there and we ended up with a spectacular view of the thunderhead, Mt Graham, and the Gila Valley! I loved getting to meet them, along with Tad’s son Caden, and to spend some time with them. They are so sweet and SO natural in front of the camera. I can’t wait to come back here this fall for their wedding! Cross your fingers for us that the field there behind the barn won’t be harvested yet…if not we’ll have a whole field full of gorgeous cotton as the backdrop! And maybe if we’re lucky, we’ll get some gorgeous clouds again!
These three are so sweet together! I loved how they snuggled in to Tad and he just wrapped them up in his arms. Cutest family hug ever!
Caden was hilarious! He ran, jumped, hid, kicked, played, and photo bombed!
I bet you didn’t know a cotton blossom is pink!
This is one of my new favorite shots ever! These two were amazing!
