Tevor and Shannon’s Safford, AZ rustic wedding had it all! An AMAZING couple with a beautiful blended family, a gorgeous custom lace dress, a beautiful lace and tooled leather wedding cake, hand dyed wood flower bouquets, a surprise love hula performed during the ceremony to honor Shannon’s time in Hawaii, the best brisket dinner, and a room packed full of loved ones!
The day started at Shannon’s house where all the girls got together to get ready. It was so calm, lighthearted, and fun! Shannon’s new step-daughter did her makeup and her cousin came to do her hair. From jokes, to hugs, to tears, to Shannon’s Mom’s surprise at the extra customizations on Shannon’s dress (which I LOVED), the afternoon was just right!
The bouquets were made by Stasha, the amazing wedding coordinator, from Sola Wood flowers. These delicate flowers are all hand-dyed to match the wedding and make for such a beautiful keepsake from the wedding!
Are you ready for Shannon’s hair?! So long and absolutely beautiful!
I’ve been dying to have a bride wear turquoise jewelry! I LOVED the pieces Shannon picked out!
While the girls were finishing up, the guys gathered at the fairgrounds for their photo op! This crew was so fun and good natured through the whole day!
Stasha, with Jars and Lace, does the most amazing job at turning dreams into reality for her clients.
Shannon spent a good portion of her childhood in Hawaii and it holds such a dear spot in her heart. As a surprise the Paradise Island Dancers came and performed a love hula during the ceremony and returned to the reception for a full luau show! The Love Hula was exquisite, and a number of us got teary watching!
Their kids were all so fun together! You’d never guess that until that day that the two youngest weren’t already connected. They look alike and were so sweet all day.
And finally it was time to head to one of my favorite portrait locations for their Husband and Wife Sunset Portraits! These two have the most heartfelt connection and just melt into each other with such a calm, sweet joy.
Shannon’s hair jewels were the perfect touch! So elegant, and so fitting! Her daughter said, “Mom! You look like a Princess, but after today you’ll be a Queen!”
You just can’t beat that evening glow!
Heading back into the party there was a surprise for the couple! A full luau show by the Paradise Island Dancers! It was absolutely beautiful and the guests loved it!
Shannon and Tevor, thank you so much for inviting me into such a sweet and memorable day! You two have such a calm strength and love that is so evident to anyone who sees you. It was such a joy to be able to see and feel that love, and to get to celebrate you with all your friends and family. Sure love you both!
